During her 22 years of practice as a commercial litigator at one of Seattle’s top law firms, Wendy earned the unofficial – yet ideally suited – title of “Settlement Queen” for her unique and uncanny ability to cut to the heart of a matter, communicate effectively and precisely, and overcome seemingly irreconcilable differences between parties  to orchestrate a resolution for the benefit of all involved.  Her litigation practice has given her broad experience in many areas involving real estate including title insurance (bad faith and Insurance Fair Claim Act), easement, adverse possession, boundary line, lien priority, construction, landlord/tenant, real estate broker, purchase and sale agreement, trespass and other disputes.  She is also well versed in partnership dissolutions, breach of contract matters, commercial disputes, business torts, and employment matters (including non-solicitation and non-competes, and wrongful termination).  In order to focus her extensive training as a litigator into a role as a professional neutral, Wendy obtained her mediation certificate from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine University, which is widely acknowledged as the premier mediation training program in the United States.
